Axel’s Food and Ice Cream is VERY proud to announce that we have been voted the NUMBER ONE ice cream stand in Merrimack! The official announcement will be in this weeks Merrimack Journal and we couldn’t be more proud. Thanks to all our loyal patrons and friends who took the time to vote for us!
In keeping with our motto Axel’s is proud to announce the addition of gluten free ice cream cones. We now carry both plain and sugar, gluten free cones as well as several gluten free and lactose free ice cream flavors. Ed H. from Goffstown recently stopped in and enjoyed an ice cream cone for the first time in 12 years!

For the 9th year in a row Axel’s will be open on July 4th at 12:00 and will stay open until after the fireworks. This practice has become so popular that our customers have requested that we continue doing so. As long as we have customers, we will stay open. We will also be serving birthday cake in celebration of Axel’s birthday, so please stop by for some delicious cake!
